DENIM AND OVERSIZED, SIZE IT UP!

As you may know I adore the sun. Especially when it's autumn; the beautiful colors of the leafs on the trees. Everything looks so pretty and pure. I think it's difficult to dress yourself this time a year. Because it's too cold or too warm, but I have found a solution; layers (a lot of layers). Then it's perfect! At the moment I'm loving the oversized trend, my new leopard-print coat from Mango fits so nice, lovely to wrap myself in it when I'm cold. It's sort of boyfiend-chic look. The same for the jeans, they are soooo comfortable! Sometimes I'm asking myself, why do I wear skinny jeans when you can wear these comfy pants. To spice it up, I have to wear my favorite killer heels by Steve Madden. It completes my outfit, and makes it more feminine, don't you think? 

Meanwhile, the weather has changed and it's raining all day. So I decided to stay home, until it's over.. Make some clothing, and do some homework for school. Living the good life :) xoxo

THE ALYSSA-ISSUE

It's the first of September, and as you Fashionista's may know; it's September-Issue time. Very important. This month is special for me, so I call it the Alyssa-Issue. This month is a sort of new beginning or something. In a way I feel like a new person. Tuesday I'm going to start an internship at the Darling in the Nine Streets in Amsterdam. It's feels a bit like I'm starting a whole new life, with all new special things... and: I'm so excited to begin this 'new life'. Can't wait to create new things and learn the ins and outs about designing clothing and fashion. Next week is my first day at the Vogue Academy, so it gets better and better! It feels like my life is beginning to turn upside down, but in a good way. And, don't you agree, with a new beginning; there must be a new look. So this is my outfit-of-the-day, Alyssa 2.2 (also known as: the Alyssa-Issue). On top of that, I made an appointment to change my hair as well. So I can start fresh, all bright and shiny! FLYING FRIENDLY TO LANZAROTE

From sunny Lanzarote, a brand new blogpost! This was the outfit I was wearing during the flight from Amsterdam to Lanzarote; a vintage hat from Episode (a vintage store in Amsterdam) with a dress I ordered a couple years ago at Asos.com with a gilet from the New Yorker. Completed by a pair of trousers from the Zara and shoes from the Primark. I fell in love with Lanzarote, the weather is perfect. It's sunny with a lot of wind, so it's not too warm. But I get a tan anyway! The only thing I don't like it's that there too many tourists, who are just the wrong clotting, as usual ;-) well, while I'm enjoying my holiday, I wish you the same: sunny weather! CRUELLA DE VILL TROUSERS

As you may know, I love Cruealla de Vill. Black and white is one of the best color combinations if you ask me, it's so chique and it gives you a whole other attitude. I thought it would be nice to make some black and white trousers. But there was one problem, I didn't know how to make because I never used a sewing machine. So, this little miss smartypants bought two pairs of pants (black and white) at the H&M, and took them in pieces. With some help from my mom I made my own black and white trousers. I'm so happy with the result!
I combined my new pants with some happy colors, like yellow and red. Let the sunshine come, becaue I'm ready for the summer!! What do you think? Let me know xoxo

SEX & THE CITY CHIC

Yesterday was a perfect summer day, the perfect opportunity to wear my red hat. I really I felt like a celebrity when I was walking around Tilburg. When I was re-organizing my wardrobe, I found this jumpsuit from Asos.com which I bought 4 years ago, it's so nice when you re-invent old clothing. It's a easy going look, but with the hat and the fierce red heels, it more edgy like something Carrie Bradshaw would wear in Sex and the City when she's out for a cosmopolitan. My friend Alisa dyed my hair last week, and I'm so happy with it! More blond at the ends, perfect for the summer! So... let the holiday begin! THROWBACK THURSDAY: CHINA TOWN

Hello my followers all over the world,
Today I'm writing my blog on Changi Airport, this was my last day here in Singapore for now. I really enjoyed being in the big city with fashionable people, delicious food, a lot of Asian people and the many good clothing stores. Now all my money is gone, I have to go back to my normal life again. It's time for graduating, so it will be a very stressfull time for me. I'm blessed I had an amazing holiday and got a lot of new energy to create some really nice things.
This blog is called "Throwback Thursday" because I went to China Town this week here in Singapore last week. And I loved it so much I had to blog about it. So many little markets and shops with all these nice souvenirs and cheap stuff. I got a lot of bracelets for my friends back home in Holland. It smelled there like fruits, and other Chinese food. Although it was very crowdes, it had an nice atmosphere. That day I was wearing my H&m fringe blue shorts, with 'the New Icons' shirt I got a while ago also at H&M combined with an old denim gilet which I found somewhere back in my closet. Ofcourse with one of my favorite shoes, the nude with black accent Steve Madden shoes!
While I'm blogging here at Changi Airport, thinking about my fabulous and fashionable vacation I don't want to go back to the Netherlands. But, I have to.. But I got all these sweet memories! For now I'm gonna take one big sleeping-pill and take a long nap in the airplane. Sleepwell, xoxo Alyssa.

A couple days ago I passed by this shoe-shop in Singapore and I saw this quote on the wall, I think it's made for me. Funny cause it's true! I love shoes, and yes they make me happy. I don't care what other people think about it.
I'm here in Singapore for a week now, and I fell in love with this country. So much energy, and still a nice atmosphere. The people here have a good taste in fashion, and my gosh the shopping area is AMAZING!! I really wish sometimes I had all the money in the world, so I could spend it here!. I'm staying here only until Thursday, so I will enjoy it the fullest. One thing for sure, the sun is the only thing that keeps me happy! Hope you have a nice holiday as well xoxo Alyssa

DESPERATE HOUSEWIFES CHIC

Hola bitches, the sun is shining and I'm one happy little lady! Today I'm living like a Desperate Housewife, I went to my balletclass, did some tanning, went swimming, cleaned my room, did some groceries, packed some clothing, did my laundry and last but not least I made a lot of drawings for my portfolio. See, a Desperate Housewife over here!!
When I was shooting my Outfit of the day photo with my friend Paulien, she told me I looked like Gaby from Desperate Housewifes haha and she's right. I felt like a lady, who's going to have a cocktail or something. I'm wearing it with a white shirt from the Mango. And this leopard printed coat, is one of my new items. I love it, it's so chique - don't you think?

and the worst part is, this isn't even everything. I know, I know... I'm a shoe-a-holic! You can call me superficial, but I don't care. My motto is: More Shoes Make More Sense. I don't know what it is, but they make my happy. Everytime I felt sad or something, I went to the city to buy shoes (or to get my ears pierced). And this is the result, I think I can start a museum or something. But what I told you before, I feel so much better when I'm wearing these babies, I feel tall, feminine and sexy. And it's not all designer shoes, they're from H&M, Zara, River Island, Primark, New Look, Alysa Mode, Aldo Shoes, Steve Madden, Maison Martin Margiela for H&M, Isabel Marant, Christian Louboutin and Jimmy Choo for H&M.

A couple years ago my dad came back from a business trip from Singapore, and brought me a suit what the stewardess from Singapore Airlines are wearing. I didn't know what to do with that present, when are you going to wear a stewardess outfit? But today I found it back in my closet, and I was wondering if I could make an outfit with it. Mission accomplished! I love this new look, it's great for the summer! I can't wait to see the sun again. What do you think about this Outfit-of-the-Day?

P R I M A R K 2 0 1 3

Primark, a nice shop with sometimes nice things, but always too crowded for me. Okay, I know it's really cheap, but all these people are shopping as if their life depends on it. And because it's cheap, you like to buy a lot. Even stuff you don't really like or fit. And the quality kind of sucks, but anyways... sometimes they have amazing items. And again, I couldn't resist. My mom took me this week to Rotterdam for (again) a little shoppingtrip. Wait... O MY GOD! It's because of my mom, I am a Shopaholic. Haha, whatever I couldn't care less. I love it!

So, I went to Primark. I try not to go there too much, because I can't stand it when there are too much people and otherwise I would be broke as hell. But for a couple times a year, it's perfect. I always come back with some bags, and shoes! To fill up my collection ;-)

FOREVER 21 - FOR NOW, TWO DAYS LEFT

In a few days I'll be turning 22, and everybody is reminding me of it. In a way it's kind of a big deal for me this year, I don't know why but it feels like I'm getting old and now I have to act mature or something. Maybe I should get myself together and just accept the fact I'm not FOREVER 21...
So therefor I combined some new and old items for this look today. I love the black-and-white trend for this spring/summer '13 and to cheer it up, so I decided to wear my new red hat. Too bad it's windy and rainy all day now, and I don't feel like going out these days. You see? I'm getting old. If it was up to me I would lay in bed all day, but life goes on. Anna Dello Russo (there she is again haha) once said: "When you don't deel to dress, means you are depressed." Well that's luckily not the case here anymore.
So maybe I should stop whining about eveything and be happy. There is a lot going to happen the couple of months, and I'm excited but also a bit scared. But's that's normal I think. We'll have to wait and see... For now: ENJOY YOUR DAY FASHIONISTA'S!
