THE ALYSSA-ISSUE

It's the first of September, and as you Fashionista's may know; it's September-Issue time. Very important. This month is special for me, so I call it the Alyssa-Issue. This month is a sort of new beginning or something. In a way I feel like a new person. Tuesday I'm going to start an internship at the Darling in the Nine Streets in Amsterdam. It's feels a bit like I'm starting a whole new life, with all new special things... and: I'm so excited to begin this 'new life'. Can't wait to create new things and learn the ins and outs about designing clothing and fashion. Next week is my first day at the Vogue Academy, so it gets better and better! It feels like my life is beginning to turn upside down, but in a good way. And, don't you agree, with a new beginning; there must be a new look. So this is my outfit-of-the-day, Alyssa 2.2 (also known as: the Alyssa-Issue). On top of that, I made an appointment to change my hair as well. So I can start fresh, all bright and shiny! FLYING FRIENDLY TO LANZAROTE

From sunny Lanzarote, a brand new blogpost! This was the outfit I was wearing during the flight from Amsterdam to Lanzarote; a vintage hat from Episode (a vintage store in Amsterdam) with a dress I ordered a couple years ago at Asos.com with a gilet from the New Yorker. Completed by a pair of trousers from the Zara and shoes from the Primark. I fell in love with Lanzarote, the weather is perfect. It's sunny with a lot of wind, so it's not too warm. But I get a tan anyway! The only thing I don't like it's that there too many tourists, who are just the wrong clotting, as usual ;-) well, while I'm enjoying my holiday, I wish you the same: sunny weather! PACKING MY SUITCASE FOR MY VACANTION

Sunday morning, very early (around 5 o'clock!!) I'm leaving the Netherlands for a week, to have a nice vacation at Lanzarote! But first we stay a night at the Mercure Hotel at Schiphol Airport, Amsterdam.
And as usual I planned everyday before I leave, so I have to pack my suitcase now already. But, that's no problem for me, because I love it. It's easy girls, just make (new) outfits you want to wear and add some extra tops and shorts/skirts so you can combine other things to create new looks! Told you, piece of cake ;-) Look, I have plenty space enough, for my shoes of course! And... for all the things I want to buy in Spain.

I'm excited, I've made so many new Outfit's with 'old' clothing, because I'm very inspired by Sex&the'City lately. Just love the Carrie-look, styled by Pat Fields - it's just stunning! So when I don't know what to wear, I google Carrie Bradshaw and create a new look. Just wait and see, I'll put it on my blog during my holiday, don't worry.

LIFE'S A BEACH

After an amazing weekend with a lot of great party's I went to the beach to work on my tan. After Milkshake after-party I went to bed around 5.30h and woke up around 9, and surprisingly I had so much energy. So I took the train from Amsterdam to Den Haag. When I arrived at the beach it was also calm and quite, it was so lovely to relax and enjoy the sun. I'm wearing an easy going outfit, just a white t-shirt with a denim gilet, combined with fringe shorts. To complete this look, I wore my new beach hat I got as a present from Stella ♡ I totally love it!

SEX & THE CITY CHIC

Yesterday was a perfect summer day, the perfect opportunity to wear my red hat. I really I felt like a celebrity when I was walking around Tilburg. When I was re-organizing my wardrobe, I found this jumpsuit from Asos.com which I bought 4 years ago, it's so nice when you re-invent old clothing. It's a easy going look, but with the hat and the fierce red heels, it more edgy like something Carrie Bradshaw would wear in Sex and the City when she's out for a cosmopolitan. My friend Alisa dyed my hair last week, and I'm so happy with it! More blond at the ends, perfect for the summer! So... let the holiday begin! LASTWEEK SUMMER, TODAY WINTER

I made these pictures a week ago, it was a sunny day and it was about 18 degrees. And today it's -2 and there's snow! What is happening to the world? I really miss the sun, it makes me happy and you can wear your summer-outfits again.
On these pictures below I'm wearing my new hat I got from the Monki. It's a bit over the top, but I like it that way. Combined with my mint green shorts by Dutch designer Darryl van Wouw. Such a nice item, but sometimes difficult to match with other clothing, because there's a lot of color and there's so much happening. Another item I re-invented in my closet were my Jimmy Choo's shoes from H&M a couple years ago. They're really cute, and sexy in a way.

I hope the sun will return to the Netherlands soon, because it's really sucks right now. I feel like laying in bed all day with a cup of tea and have a wintersleep or something. FOREVER 21 - FOR NOW, TWO DAYS LEFT

In a few days I'll be turning 22, and everybody is reminding me of it. In a way it's kind of a big deal for me this year, I don't know why but it feels like I'm getting old and now I have to act mature or something. Maybe I should get myself together and just accept the fact I'm not FOREVER 21...
So therefor I combined some new and old items for this look today. I love the black-and-white trend for this spring/summer '13 and to cheer it up, so I decided to wear my new red hat. Too bad it's windy and rainy all day now, and I don't feel like going out these days. You see? I'm getting old. If it was up to me I would lay in bed all day, but life goes on. Anna Dello Russo (there she is again haha) once said: "When you don't deel to dress, means you are depressed." Well that's luckily not the case here anymore.
So maybe I should stop whining about eveything and be happy. There is a lot going to happen the couple of months, and I'm excited but also a bit scared. But's that's normal I think. We'll have to wait and see... For now: ENJOY YOUR DAY FASHIONISTA'S!
