PERFECT SUMMER DAY @ VONDELPARK, AMSTERDAM

Today it was the perfect summer day, so I took a little skate-trip through Amsterdam and ended (as usual) at the Vondelpark for a little break. I enjoyed the weather so much, it was sunny but not too warm. At the moment this is one of my favorite looks, specially because of this amazing blazer I got at a store in the '9 straatjes' called By Fabrio. I just love all these colors, such a happy little jacket and perfect for this kind of weather don't you think? Another one of my favorite items right now is this short/skirt from Zara (I got them in black as well), it's easy to wear because it's though and feminine at the same time and you can combine it in so many ways, I think it's a must-have for in your wardrobe this summer!

SUMMER IN THE CITY

Today was probably one of the last summer days, so I'm going to beach to enjoy the sunshine on its best way. It remind me of my holiday in Lanzarote a couple of weeks ago, that's why I'm posting this look today. 

While I moved from Tilburg (where I've studied) to Dordrecht, I found this cute little hippie purse which I got as a present from Lizzy vd Ligt a couple years ago when she was still dancing at the dance academy. 

This little purse took me downtown to memory-lane, so I kept looking for 'forgotten-items'. And the I found this dress (which I bought 5 or 6 years ago at the Mango), it gave me a Sex and the City feeling, I'm seeing Carrie Bradshaw walking around the city in this kind of dress during the summer, don't you agree. To keep it colorful, I combined it with one of my eye-catching items at the moment; my yellow bag from Allure. My dad gave it to me when we were in Singapore, I instantly fell in love with this bag; très chique! 

Well, I have to work on my tan now, and tonight I'm going to Vogue's Fashion Night Out in Amsterdam, so it's a very busy day for me; but o so fabulous! Enjoy the weather fashionista's xoxo Alyssa

PACKING MY SUITCASE FOR MY VACANTION

Sunday morning, very early (around 5 o'clock!!) I'm leaving the Netherlands for a week, to have a nice vacation at Lanzarote! But first we stay a night at the Mercure Hotel at Schiphol Airport, Amsterdam.
And as usual I planned everyday before I leave, so I have to pack my suitcase now already. But, that's no problem for me, because I love it. It's easy girls, just make (new) outfits you want to wear and add some extra tops and shorts/skirts so you can combine other things to create new looks! Told you, piece of cake ;-) Look, I have plenty space enough, for my shoes of course! And... for all the things I want to buy in Spain.

I'm excited, I've made so many new Outfit's with 'old' clothing, because I'm very inspired by Sex&the'City lately. Just love the Carrie-look, styled by Pat Fields - it's just stunning! So when I don't know what to wear, I google Carrie Bradshaw and create a new look. Just wait and see, I'll put it on my blog during my holiday, don't worry.

MULTI-COLORED BLAZER 'BY FABRIO'

When I walked through the '9 straatjes' in Amsterdam I ran into this cute little store called 'By Fabrio', they sell really nice clothing for nothing more than €29,95. Perfect, don't you agree? When I took a look at their collection I found this amazing multi-colored blazer, and I instantly fell in love with it. I had to buy it, otherwise I would never forgive myself ;-) so.. I got it, and I'm so happy with it. It's the perfect little jacket for the summer, because of all these nice colors you get immediately happy! I combined it with my 'the New Icons' shirt for H&M and these fringe shorts (also H&M). Together with my Jimmy Choo's it's the perfect outfit, don't you think? At the moment it's one of my favorite outfits of the day. Meanwhile I'm enjoying Amsterdam the fullest, still looking for a place to live here in the city but I can't wait to start with my new education at the Vogue Academy and make beautiful creative things! SUMMER HOLIDAY @ AMSTERDAM

Once again, a blogpost from inspiring Amsterdam. Today with Malou who is very creative with nail-polish, as you can see here. We were talking about how much we enjoyed the holiday, finally it's summer in the Netherlands and it's lovely. So it's the perfect opportunity to dress up, and walk all fabulous through the streets in Amsterdam and relax. ON THE EDGE OF GLORY

This is one of the last 'outfit of the day' pictures I had made in Tilburg. This dress is so difficult to wear, because of the 'open' mesh parts on the stomach. It can look slutty very easy, if you know what I mean. I bought this one because it was an challenge for me to combine it with something else so it's more wearable. This dress reminded me also of the collection of designer Alexander Wang. I combined this dress with one of my favorite items at the moment, the oversized blazer with printed sleeves from Forever21, as you can see on the pictures below it's more classy now. I got the dress at a store in Singapore called Depression, which only sold black and white clothing - for me as a Cruella De Vil maniac it was heaven! The blazer was also bought in Singapore, one big shopping paradise! I really want to go back, o boy I wish I had all the money on the world so I could spend it there ;-) What do you think of my 'Edge of Glory' look? xoxo

DIRTY HEELS

If you ask me, the colors black and white combined with red are just magical. It looks amazing on each other,  don't you think? So simple, but it works in a way. The red trousers gives this whole look an edge. I'm wearing my favorite Steve Madden nude heels, with a black accent. These shoes walk like heaven, I mean seriously: HEAVEN. Nobody believes me, but it's true and that's why I love them. I can walk miles in them without having pain in my feet. Just as what I did today, I walked across Amsterdam, just doing my thing and enjoying the weather. As you can see, this is a real casual look for me. Normally I'm wearing more extravagant outfits, but sometimes it's good to go basic, don't you think?

LIFE'S A BEACH

After an amazing weekend with a lot of great party's I went to the beach to work on my tan. After Milkshake after-party I went to bed around 5.30h and woke up around 9, and surprisingly I had so much energy. So I took the train from Amsterdam to Den Haag. When I arrived at the beach it was also calm and quite, it was so lovely to relax and enjoy the sun. I'm wearing an easy going outfit, just a white t-shirt with a denim gilet, combined with fringe shorts. To complete this look, I wore my new beach hat I got as a present from Stella ♡ I totally love it!

B O Y F R I E N D - C H I C

Normally I'm the skinny-jeans kinda girl, but one day I just bought these boyfriend jeans at the H&M and I'm hooked. The looks you can create with it is endless. You can go for sporty look, or casual, comfy or wear it with heels like I did. To make it a bit more feminine, but not too girly girly. It's sort of edgy and sexy but also classy because of the blazer. I got this one at the Forever 21 in Singapore, and I wear it all the time, in a way it fits almost every look.

I combined this look with my new bag (also from Singapore) which I got at Charles & Keith, it's a simple bag but with nice summer colors. The shoes are also from Charles and Keith, and they match perfectly with the blazer, don't you think. I made this pictures a while ago as you can see, when the sun was shining. Yesterday was a perfect summer day, the perfect opportunity to wear my red hat. I really I felt like a celebrity when I was walking around Tilburg. When I was re-organizing my wardrobe, I found this jumpsuit from Asos.com which I bought 4 years ago, it's so nice when you re-invent old clothing. It's a easy going look, but with the hat and the fierce red heels, it more edgy like something Carrie Bradshaw would wear in Sex and the City when she's out for a cosmopolitan. My friend Alisa dyed my hair last week, and I'm so happy with it! More blond at the ends, perfect for the summer! So... let the holiday begin! MY DAY TODAY IN SINGAPORE

Today it's one of my last days here in Singapore, so what does this mean? It's time for some serious shopping! I went to the biggest shoppingmall called Suntec, and later I went to Somerset and ofcourse Orchard Road. Oops, I spend all my money (again) on clothing, bags, earrings and shoes. Luckily my dad was really nice to me, he got me a really nice bag - I'll show you that later on my blog.
At the Subway station at Somerset is such a cute Italian lunchroom called Trattoria, where I got a delicious salad with an iced latte. After lunch we walked to Orchard road and spend some time in other shoppingmalls. Take a look at the pictures, and enjoy your sunny day xoxo with love, Alyssa

SINGAPORE NIGHTLIFE LOOK

I fell in love with Singapore, it's always summer! You can wear your summer-outfit every day of the year, what do you need more? The sun is always shining, and that's making me happy as a kid in a candyshop. Even at night the temperature is perfect, that's why I'm wearing this très chique dress, which I bought about 6 or 7 years ago at Zara. One of my first items I bought at Zara, and since then I'm addicted to this store! Love their vision and designs of the clothing they sell, absolutly fashionable and affordable. A couple days ago I passed by this shoe-shop in Singapore and I saw this quote on the wall, I think it's made for me. Funny cause it's true! I love shoes, and yes they make me happy. I don't care what other people think about it.
I'm here in Singapore for a week now, and I fell in love with this country. So much energy, and still a nice atmosphere. The people here have a good taste in fashion, and my gosh the shopping area is AMAZING!! I really wish sometimes I had all the money in the world, so I could spend it here!. I'm staying here only until Thursday, so I will enjoy it the fullest. One thing for sure, the sun is the only thing that keeps me happy! Hope you have a nice holiday as well xoxo Alyssa

Dear followers,
I'm so sorry I haven't updated my blog in a while, I was way too busy with some projects at school and trying to prepare myself for my graduating next June (wish me luck). And now... I'm in Singapore! Enjoying the lovely sunny weather, the many many shoppingmalls and the Azlan culture. At the moment I'm writing this blog-post at the swimmingpool on top of the roof of my hotel. I'm saying this for days now: I'm living the good life... I think I'm not coming back to the Netherlands hahah. Yes! I got featherextentions! Finally, I've been waiting for so long to get these babies in my hair! And yesterday it was the day it happened. I'm in love with it, it's such a cute hippie look. I feel like Pocahontas or whatever. So, if the sun will be shining anytime soon... that would be perfect!

LASTWEEK SUMMER, TODAY WINTER

I made these pictures a week ago, it was a sunny day and it was about 18 degrees. And today it's -2 and there's snow! What is happening to the world? I really miss the sun, it makes me happy and you can wear your summer-outfits again.
On these pictures below I'm wearing my new hat I got from the Monki. It's a bit over the top, but I like it that way. Combined with my mint green shorts by Dutch designer Darryl van Wouw. Such a nice item, but sometimes difficult to match with other clothing, because there's a lot of color and there's so much happening. Another item I re-invented in my closet were my Jimmy Choo's shoes from H&M a couple years ago. They're really cute, and sexy in a way.

I hope the sun will return to the Netherlands soon, because it's really sucks right now. I feel like laying in bed all day with a cup of tea and have a wintersleep or something. It's my last weekend of freedom, and... it's nice weather in the Netherlands. So I spend my time at the beach getting a nice tan. I brought the september issue of the Dutch Vogue and had some icecream. Life's good! I borrowed a hat from my grandmother, what do you think about it? I think she's a style-icon!

Once again I went to the Amsterdam Gay Pride with my lovely friends. It was as usual F - A - B - U - L - O - U to the S. After the rain it was a lovely sunny day with many Cosmopolitians, wine and cigarettes + nice people with amazing parties.
