TUTU-CHIC

After a couple amazing days at Terschelling I returned today in Amsterdam. I was so excited about everything, I wanted to wear my 'customized' tutu. A couple years ago I bought a white see-through petticoat in a Vintage store, and made a sort of tutu skirt out of it. Just like Carrie in Sex and the City. I already posted it a while ago, you can check this outfit here. But this time I combined my favorite Tutu-skirt with an denim blouse and a black-and-white striped shirt. To complete this look I'm wearing the Jimmy Choo's heels from H&M. What do you think? You limey? xoxo

CRUELLA DE VILL TROUSERS

As you may know, I love Cruealla de Vill. Black and white is one of the best color combinations if you ask me, it's so chique and it gives you a whole other attitude. I thought it would be nice to make some black and white trousers. But there was one problem, I didn't know how to make because I never used a sewing machine. So, this little miss smartypants bought two pairs of pants (black and white) at the H&M, and took them in pieces. With some help from my mom I made my own black and white trousers. I'm so happy with the result!
I combined my new pants with some happy colors, like yellow and red. Let the sunshine come, becaue I'm ready for the summer!! What do you think? Let me know xoxo

DIRTY HEELS

If you ask me, the colors black and white combined with red are just magical. It looks amazing on each other,  don't you think? So simple, but it works in a way. The red trousers gives this whole look an edge. I'm wearing my favorite Steve Madden nude heels, with a black accent. These shoes walk like heaven, I mean seriously: HEAVEN. Nobody believes me, but it's true and that's why I love them. I can walk miles in them without having pain in my feet. Just as what I did today, I walked across Amsterdam, just doing my thing and enjoying the weather. As you can see, this is a real casual look for me. Normally I'm wearing more extravagant outfits, but sometimes it's good to go basic, don't you think?

HAPPY LEOPARD LOOK IN AMSTERDAM

One day I woke up and in my head I made this outfit, and guess what? It's a cool look, don't you think? I love these leopard printed trousers, it's nice they're in black and white like a snow leopard. I combined it with a top from New Look and my favorite blazer from the Miranda Kerr campaign for Mango. This is such a classy blazer, tres chique!

This picture is made in Amsterdam, as you can see this city makes me happy! I totally dig this atmosphere here, I'm addicted. I love the people, they're so much more fashionable than in Tilburg where I've lived when I was a student. It makes me feel free when I walk around the city, anything can happen and I feel I really live in the moment then.

SHOES FOR MY GRADUATION SOLO

For my solo I wanted to show the people who I really am, and what am I without my precious high heels. I didn't bring all my shoes, because there are too many. I think it were like 65 pairs (heels only, of course!). My friends put it in a shopping cart, and it looked like this.

ACCEPTED AT VOGUE ACADEMY IN AMSTERDAM

Dear fashionista's and fashion-victims,

After a very stressful month I found some time to update my blog, and it's really necessary because I have so much to tell you. Some of you might know it already, but: I got accepted at the Vogue Academy in Amsterdam!! I'm going to design my own things and learning how to make them. It's so unreal, but I'm very excited begin next September. Can't wait to create some artistic costumes with an high fashion taste.
I had a little interview at the Vogue Academy, and therefor I had to draw my favorite shoe - so I chose my Steve Madden shoe with golden chains. After that you had to make your own design of it. I created something with a zebra-print and a lot of feathers. It became a sort of safari-shoe. Really over the top, but so me haha :)

ALYSSA'S PORTFOLIO: HAUTE COUTURE

FLYING'FRIENDLY AND FASHIONABLE OUTFIT

After 13 hours of flying I finally arrived at Schiphol airport in Amsterdam. I already miss Singapore, it's so cold here. I'm not having a jetlag (yet), but 13 hours in a airplane is long, I hope I will find my normal rythm back soon.
On my way back to the Netherlands I was wearing my Stella McCartney for Adidas yoga pants, with my lovely Isabel Marant wedge sneakers. Combined with a simpel black and white striped shirt and a hoodie. As you can see I had so much bagage, too much. That's what happens when you are a shopaholic in shop-paradise in Singapore. My suitcase weighted over 22 kilo's, thats why I had an extra backpack. I didn't had space enough in my handlugage, so I attached my Jimmy Choo's on my backpack - like a real fashionista/backpacker haha sometimes I'm such a smartiepants. I adore Cruella De Vil, she's just so stylish and evil. And I totally dig the whole Black&White theme, she has going on. I'm trying to make a black and white trousers, and I'll call it my "Cruella De Vil' Project. Just to keep me busy these day. And on top of that, I have to draw a shitload for my portfolio. Luckily I have inspiration enough to make this work. So... keep up checking my blog for updates. For now, so long! I have to draw ;-) xoxo Alyssa

ELVIRA 'T HART

Elvira 't Hart is a new designer who has recently graduated in fashion at the Rietveld Academy. By using 3D laser, she made this new collection. It's like she brought her sketches to real life, the clothing pieces look like 3D drawing. It's so unique, and really creative. So cool! I like it a lot. What do you think?

TOPSHOP SPRING/SUMMER '13

Here is the spring/summer collection of TopShop. Love the black-and-white theme combined with powerfull colors! It's a nice collection, and very different. I wish there was a TopShop in the Netherlands, hopefully it will come soon, otherwise I have to go to Londen. Hmmm, not a bad idea actually haha! What do you think about this collection? FOREVER 21 - FOR NOW, TWO DAYS LEFT

In a few days I'll be turning 22, and everybody is reminding me of it. In a way it's kind of a big deal for me this year, I don't know why but it feels like I'm getting old and now I have to act mature or something. Maybe I should get myself together and just accept the fact I'm not FOREVER 21...
So therefor I combined some new and old items for this look today. I love the black-and-white trend for this spring/summer '13 and to cheer it up, so I decided to wear my new red hat. Too bad it's windy and rainy all day now, and I don't feel like going out these days. You see? I'm getting old. If it was up to me I would lay in bed all day, but life goes on. Anna Dello Russo (there she is again haha) once said: "When you don't deel to dress, means you are depressed." Well that's luckily not the case here anymore.
So maybe I should stop whining about eveything and be happy. There is a lot going to happen the couple of months, and I'm excited but also a bit scared. But's that's normal I think. We'll have to wait and see... For now: ENJOY YOUR DAY FASHIONISTA'S!

MY FIRST MOODBOARD

Today I stayed in bed all day because I'm not feeling well, I think I might get the flu or something. 

But no problem, now I have time to fix everything. I started to add some feathers on my blazer 

(to be continued...) and I tried to make a moodboard on my iPad. 

Since a couple of weeks I'm really inspirated by Cruella de Ville. O okay I have to admit something, when I was a child I was already fascinated by her. I think she's an amazing style-icon! Just love it!
