G R A D U A T I O N - O U T F I T

On the 6th of July I finally got my diploma at the Dance academy, from now on I'm a "professional" dancer. For this occasion I really wanted to dress up, because it a special moment in your life. I went shopping with my Mom in Amsterdam, but couldn't find any dress. Searched over the internet, but I wasn't very satisfied. So a week before the graduation ceremony I ordered this dress at Asos.com. First I wasn't that happy with it, but it's something. But when I wore it, I fell in love with this dress. I mean red is a dangerous color, but it makes your look sexy in a way. I combined it with my leopard print shoes, which I bought in Singapore with a little had to finish my outfit. That day felt a bit like a red carpet event, most of the girls looked so pretty with their hair done, some make-up and of course killer heels! I brought my Anna Dello Russo crocodile glasses as well, which my friend Carlijn is wearing on the picture below! I really enjoyed this day, with a lot of booze :) hihi take a look at some pictures!

A PART OF MY SHOE-COLLECTION!

and the worst part is, this isn't even everything. I know, I know... I'm a shoe-a-holic! You can call me superficial, but I don't care. My motto is: More Shoes Make More Sense. I don't know what it is, but they make my happy. Everytime I felt sad or something, I went to the city to buy shoes (or to get my ears pierced). And this is the result, I think I can start a museum or something. But what I told you before, I feel so much better when I'm wearing these babies, I feel tall, feminine and sexy. And it's not all designer shoes, they're from H&M, Zara, River Island, Primark, New Look, Alysa Mode, Aldo Shoes, Steve Madden, Maison Martin Margiela for H&M, Isabel Marant, Christian Louboutin and Jimmy Choo for H&M.

IMELDA IS MY MIDDLE NAME

As you might know, I adore shoes. I think you can't have enough of them, and Cinderella is proof that they can change your life. They transform your body language and attitude, but they also lift you physically and emotionally. You can call me crazy, but I know it's true. During my stay in Sweden, I didn't wore my heels a lot because everything was far far away and also the stones on the sidewalks - they weren't very High-Heel friendly. I remembered I felt a little bit sad when I wasn't wearing them, because I'm like a tiny little dwarf without my precious heels. In a way I didn't feel the woman in me. You have to admit it, they make you feel feminine and sexy. And... they can complete your outfit!

One of my shoes-idols (is that a term?) is Imelda Marcos. She is a widow of the former president of the Philippines. They referred her as the Steel Butterfly, and is often remembered for symbols of the extravagance of her husband's political reign, including her collection of 2700 pairs of shoes. Sweet mother of God, I think that might be heaven! I can't imagne how anybody could have so many shoes! I mean, I'm a collector of shoes myself, but even Anna Dello Russo doesn't have so many shoes.

But anyways... I got these precious heels for my birthday, couple weeks ago. My parents gave me these  'Invisible Wedge Pump' from Maison Martin Margiela for H&M. Simply stunning.
I have to admit, it's dificult to buy shoes when you already have so many shoes. Because when I'm shopping, I'm always searching for something new and it's getting harder and harder. But these babies are totally new, and I like them a lot. My parents know what to get me :) what do you think about shoes? Or Imelda Marcos? Or Anna Dello Russo? Or Maison Martin Margiela? Let me know.

FOREVER 21 - FOR NOW, TWO DAYS LEFT

In a few days I'll be turning 22, and everybody is reminding me of it. In a way it's kind of a big deal for me this year, I don't know why but it feels like I'm getting old and now I have to act mature or something. Maybe I should get myself together and just accept the fact I'm not FOREVER 21...
So therefor I combined some new and old items for this look today. I love the black-and-white trend for this spring/summer '13 and to cheer it up, so I decided to wear my new red hat. Too bad it's windy and rainy all day now, and I don't feel like going out these days. You see? I'm getting old. If it was up to me I would lay in bed all day, but life goes on. Anna Dello Russo (there she is again haha) once said: "When you don't deel to dress, means you are depressed." Well that's luckily not the case here anymore.
So maybe I should stop whining about eveything and be happy. There is a lot going to happen the couple of months, and I'm excited but also a bit scared. But's that's normal I think. We'll have to wait and see... For now: ENJOY YOUR DAY FASHIONISTA'S!

MAISON MARTIN MARGIELA: LEATHER JACKET

I made a promise last time that I would make a better picture of my Maison Martin Margiela items. Here is the first one, the leather biker jacket. It's not very easy to wear because it's quite heavy, and the leather is also quite hard. But, like Anna Dello Russo once said: "Fashion is always uncomfortable, when you feel comfortable you never get the look."

So here it is. I'm very happy with it, and I'm trying to create some look with it. Today I decided to dress all black, so everybody could take a look at my jacket ;-) haha. I felt like the 'Lady in Black'.

I made this picture a while ago, as you can see it was fall back then. The shoes I'm wearing here

 are one of my favorite, because they're FIERCE! I bought them at a cute little store called Alysa Mode. 

Haha I feel so honored that they named a shoe store after me (kind of). 

I know it's actually not really daywear, but I wear it to school anyway. Like Anna Dello Russo once said:

"I don't have any daywear, because it's a waste of time for me." and I couldn't agree more!

When I'm wearing these shoes everybody is sort of shocked and asks 'How can you walk on that?'

It's just like normal wedge shoes, it feels totally normal for me. I can even dance on them!

So... when I'm wearing these babies, don't get into a fight with me or you will be hurt haha,

because the spikes are pretty painfull! So be nice, otherwise I'll kick your ass ;-) xoxo

OUTFIT OF THE DAY: ANNA DELLO RUSSO STYLE.

As you may know, I like to dress up. I think there's living a little Anna Dello Russo in me, 

but I don't have the balls to dress up like her. I just think she's a beautiful appearance 

with an amazing sense of style. Anna Dello Russo is the ultimate fashionista and fashion maniac.

Such a style icon, and a sort of hero: because rumour has it she owns more than 4000 pairs of shoes!!

I wish I could be like her, and just wear anything you like. I'm trying to do that, but sometimes it's hard.

Because you'll always be judged. But I like Anna Dello Russo's way of thinking:

why should you care about what people are thinking about you? And I couldn't agree more!!

From now on, I don't give a shit anymore what you think about what I'm wearing!

Tonight is the premiere of the performance we've been working on, so a nice opportunity to dress fabulous. It's a bit over the top, but that's my thing. Anna Dello Russo would be proud of me ;-) haha.

PERSONAL SHOPPER FOR SCHOOL IN AMSTERDAM

Sometimes I can be quite nice and when that happens I can do also nice things for some people. Today I sacrificed my day off to buy costumes for the performance next week in the Nieuwe Vorst in Tilburg. And... I'VE GOT MONEY FROM SCHOOL! Pretty cool! So today I'm a personal shopper for Fontys. Wish me luck!

Okay, there are no words to describe. So here are the pictures!!

 

ANNA DELLO RUSSO FOR H&M [PART II]

07.22 AM. - Okay, what happened to all the fashionista's in the Netherlands?? I'm in front of the H&M fot the Anna Dello Russo collection and I am the first one!! Pretty cool, but also very weird. Last year in Stockholm with Versace, I took the subway at 5 o'clock and there were like 20 people in front of me. And in Paris it was the same story...
So for now I have to wait for one and a half hour before the store opens. Luckily I've my iPhone and my iPod, so I won't be bored!

08.15 AM. - Yeey, there are more people. But it's still not so crowded. Maybe everybody is saving their money for Maison Martin Margiela, who is the new designer at H&M at November 15th.
I made some friends with the security-guys and got some coffee! Only 45 minutes to go... And I feel the tiredness is comming, my hands are getting cold and my legs are getting heavy. Hold on Alyss, you can do it!

08.45 AM. - Because the security guys felt sorry for us, they opened the door 15 minutes earlier! Me, happy as a kid in a candystore, walked inside (a little uncomfortable, because everybody's watching) to the little Anna Dello Russo department. O it was stunning, so beautiful! I allready decided what I was going to buy, but I still want to take a look at the whole collection in real life. A lot of the jewelry was a bit to much for me (but I don't have so much with big earrings, necklaces and bracelets). I came for the shoes and the crocodile sunglassess.
Yup, I got the sunglasses! They're mine now. Now the shoes.. Hmmm where the fuck are the cute black with silver strappy high heels? Let's ask the saleswomen. NOOOOOOOO! They only sell them in the H&M store in Amsterdam... SHIT!!! I didn't know that! It was not on the website! Okay, breath in... breathe out. Maybe a necklace with matching earings? Then I saw it, a hat with a bird and a lot of feathers. Shall I take it, because it's so pretty. But when will I wear this? But it's so Anna Dello Russo. But do you want to spend so much money on something you maybe never gonna wear? But, but, but... FUCK IT, I'M BUYING IT!!
And thanks to the security guys, I made it in time for my 10.30h class!

ANNA DELLO RUSSO FOR H&M [PART I]

04.42 AM. - Goodmorning, aren't you a ray of sunshine? Well, I got out of bed at 04.00 am, so I haven't seen the sun yet (and ofcourse, it's raining again). You think I must be crazy to get up at 4 o'clock in the morning, but it's for a good cause, because today is the release of ANNA DELLO RUSSO'S accessory/shoe line at H&M. Well I was planning to sleep a little longer, but I was allready awake from midnight. The first train is going in a hour, so I have to keep myself awake with some coffee and blogging.

While everybody think it's crazy to stand in line for hours in front of the H&M and spend a lot of money on a pair of shoes and sunglassess, I think it's an investment in the future. So mom and dad, when you're reading this on your fabulous holiday at the beach: IT'S AN INVESTMENT FOR MY (hopefully) CAREER IN FASHION haha, so don't get angry when I'm broke in a few hours.

But back to the collection of Anna Dello Russo. She's the editor and creative consultant for the Japanese Vogue. She's the ultimate passionate fashionista and a fashion maniac. Anna got an amazing taste in style and rumour has it she owns more than 4000 pairs of shoes. She is also having a whole apartment in Milan for just her clothing! Wow. I wish I had a closet like her, with a lot of haute couture. She's a little crazy, but I think it's wonderfull. Anna's clothing combinations are so beautiful, and extravagant... I sometimes wish I had the balls to wear it just like her. Maybe someday...

05.14 AM. - Okay, I have to leave in 20-25 minutes. No more coffee for me, otherwise I have to pee, and there is no time to pee when you're standing in line or when you're fighting for your shoes. Weather update: still raining. And I am wondering how I get through the day without sleep. I think I've slept for like 3 hours, so it's gonna be a long long day. But it's totally worth it! I mean I've been doing this for years now, I stood in line for Karl Lagerfeld, Stella McCartney, Viktor & Rolf, Cavalli, Jimmy Choo, Lanvin and Versace. It's like a little schooltrip for me, with a really nice goodie bag. So, let the bitchfight begin. And I say just like Anna Dello Russo: "You Need A Fashion Shower".
I'll update you if I got my items...
