BLOWDRY-BAR, FAUX-BOB, EXTREME VOLUME @ B-ACADEMY

Once again I was asked by my friend Alisa (student at the B-Academy) if I wanted to be a hair model for her. Their school has created a new concept; a "Blowdry-Bar" where you can have your hair blow-dried in different coupe's within 30 minutes. So... they had to practice! Here are some pictures with different hair. As you can see they gave me a lot of volume, and Alisa created a faux-bob as well. I posted this picture on Facebook as a joke, and everybody believed me. But I have to say, I like it a lot. So maybe one of these days I'm going to cut my hair. Take a look, and have a nice day! xoxo

WINING AND DINING IN ROTTERDAM

Yesterday I had a wine-date with my friend Maaike from the dance academy. It was a nice summer day, perfect for a little shopping-trip, terrace-time with a lot of talking and of course having some wine. What a lovely day, for a moment it felt like we were in school again; bringing up memories and gossip. The only thing we were missing were the delicious tosti's from Anvers, but all by all it was such a nice day. Check out my vacation-look: I'm wearing a white/green ombre-blazer, with a basic top from H&M combined with one of my favorite items at the moment the short/skirt from Zara. To complete my outfit I choose to wear these colorful shoes which I got years ago at the New Look, and a classy clutch. What do you think about this look?

SUMMER HOLIDAY @ AMSTERDAM

Once again, a blogpost from inspiring Amsterdam. Today with Malou who is very creative with nail-polish, as you can see here. We were talking about how much we enjoyed the holiday, finally it's summer in the Netherlands and it's lovely. So it's the perfect opportunity to dress up, and walk all fabulous through the streets in Amsterdam and relax. MADDY-PADDY-MONDAY WITH MALOU

Today I hang out with my friend Malou in Amsterdam, just us girls talking about stuff and drinking some wine. Malou is very creative with nail-polish, so I asked her to do my nails as well. She created this leopard-print, and I'm so happy with it. I thought it would be very difficult to make it, but it actually isn't that hard. So we had our Maddy-Paddy-Monday! On the 6th of July I finally got my diploma at the Dance academy, from now on I'm a "professional" dancer. For this occasion I really wanted to dress up, because it a special moment in your life. I went shopping with my Mom in Amsterdam, but couldn't find any dress. Searched over the internet, but I wasn't very satisfied. So a week before the graduation ceremony I ordered this dress at Asos.com. First I wasn't that happy with it, but it's something. But when I wore it, I fell in love with this dress. I mean red is a dangerous color, but it makes your look sexy in a way. I combined it with my leopard print shoes, which I bought in Singapore with a little had to finish my outfit. That day felt a bit like a red carpet event, most of the girls looked so pretty with their hair done, some make-up and of course killer heels! I brought my Anna Dello Russo crocodile glasses as well, which my friend Carlijn is wearing on the picture below! I really enjoyed this day, with a lot of booze :) hihi take a look at some pictures!

DESPERATE HOUSEWIFES CHIC

Hola bitches, the sun is shining and I'm one happy little lady! Today I'm living like a Desperate Housewife, I went to my balletclass, did some tanning, went swimming, cleaned my room, did some groceries, packed some clothing, did my laundry and last but not least I made a lot of drawings for my portfolio. See, a Desperate Housewife over here!!
When I was shooting my Outfit of the day photo with my friend Paulien, she told me I looked like Gaby from Desperate Housewifes haha and she's right. I felt like a lady, who's going to have a cocktail or something. I'm wearing it with a white shirt from the Mango. And this leopard printed coat, is one of my new items. I love it, it's so chique - don't you think?

ALISA VAN VAALEN, BEST HAIRSTYLIST/BEST FRIEND

Alisa is one of my best friends, we met eachother at the dance academy a couple years ago and are inseparable ever since. Alisa and Alyssa, also known as Ali and Aly & girls with the A. What a duo!

Alisa decided study at the B-academy in Amsterdam to become a hair-stylist. And believe me, she rocks. I know it was a hard decission to make for her, but it was totally worth it. Such an inspiration, and I'm really proud of her. ♡
While she was still dancing at the academy, she worked in a hairsalon and sometimes she dyed my hair a shade darker or lighter. At one point we were both at a stage where we wanted to experiment with our hair, so I decided to take 'Pink Dipped Ends'. Totally fashionable last summer. But, I wasn't her only customer, half the school had joined Alisa's hairsaloon. After a while I got sort of bored with my pink hair, and I went over to ombre hair (which I still have, and still very happy with).

Even though Alisa is no longer at my school, yet I keep coming back to her to get my hair done, and I'm not the only one. She works at Salon B, Amsterdam (which her ​​education is a part of). Before the summerholidays she took me to her work as a model, and I got a Color Shine treatment. Great stuff, your hair gets a boost, it's very shiny and feels like silk. I'm addicted to this treatment, I totally love love love it. You can check it out on the pictures.

I love the sun! Yesterday it was such a beautiful day, with a nice temperature and a lot of sunshine! I'm happy when it's sunny, I can't help it. So me and Paulien decided to make some Outfit-of-the-Day pictures for our blog. After a couple of outfits, we went to our standerd bar for some wine. Well, a lot of wine. What a nice day! FOREVER 21 - FOR NOW, TWO DAYS LEFT

In a few days I'll be turning 22, and everybody is reminding me of it. In a way it's kind of a big deal for me this year, I don't know why but it feels like I'm getting old and now I have to act mature or something. Maybe I should get myself together and just accept the fact I'm not FOREVER 21...
So therefor I combined some new and old items for this look today. I love the black-and-white trend for this spring/summer '13 and to cheer it up, so I decided to wear my new red hat. Too bad it's windy and rainy all day now, and I don't feel like going out these days. You see? I'm getting old. If it was up to me I would lay in bed all day, but life goes on. Anna Dello Russo (there she is again haha) once said: "When you don't deel to dress, means you are depressed." Well that's luckily not the case here anymore.
So maybe I should stop whining about eveything and be happy. There is a lot going to happen the couple of months, and I'm excited but also a bit scared. But's that's normal I think. We'll have to wait and see... For now: ENJOY YOUR DAY FASHIONISTA'S!

It's getting colder and colder here in Holland, but it's not keeping Paulien and me from getting some pictures.

Paulien and me had a day off from school, so we decided to make some pictures for our blog.

We got together this afternoon with suitcases full of clothing and shoes to make the perfect outfit. 

After our 'hair and make-up' we took a little tour through Tilburg to find some nice spots.

We accidentally found this cute little 'park' near by our school. I was so surprised we found this in Tilburg.

MILITAIRY CHIC

And once again, I fell in love with an amazing military jacket from Zara. I already told myself not to buy anything, until I saw this beauty. My friend told me I was crazy if I didn't buy it, and I would regret it. So I spent my life savings haha. I told my Mom, and first she got mad because I have to "save" some money but then I showed her the jacket and she changed her mind haha, she loved it as well! She even gave me the money back, because it's an investment for my future! I love my Mom, she's the best ♡
I think this is such an eyecatcher and a classy item, you can wear it for years! It never goes out of style! Indeed Mom, it's a nice investment! Now I need some nice shoes for my "Military-Chic" outfit!

A couple weeks ago, I went to my standerd cafe in Tilburg to have some coffee and a tosti with a friend. But she overslept, so I went to the 'Claires' to fill my time to wait for her (to buy some earrings or something). But then... I found some feathers, for your hair. But I thought it would be nice to put them on a blazer! Maybe feathers are the new studs ;-) do you like it?

This morning it started snowing. Not my favorite kind of weather, but it looks so nice

DIY: STUDDED BLAZER

Last year around this time I was surviving Sweden, but as you may know 

a lot of friends came over to Stockholm to visit me. 

One of them, Esmée, asked me if I had some free time to could put some studs on her blazer.

 Guess what? I did got a lot of time, so I made this for her! I made it typical Esmée :-) and she liked it! 

It's really easy to do it yourself, just order some studs and put them on your clothing! Piece of cake!

GET THE LONDON LOOK

Hello world,
Yesterday I came back after a few days in London. Two of my Swedish friends, Josefin and Åsa - are living there right now, so I decided to visit them. London is never a bad idea right?
We walked through London city and act like real tourists. I was planning to shop a lot,
but I didn't quite succeed... my parents can be really proud of me.
But if I had more time, it would have been another story.
We visited the London Tower Bridge (which was an amazing experience), ofcourse Oxford Street,
went to Åsa's work at Westfield shopping center, Piccadilly Street, saw the Big Ben
and after that we went back to Oxford street. I bought a super cute dress at Topshop.
I wanted a nice jacket/blazer and fabulous shoes, but I think it wasn't meant to be.

Early yesterday morning we flew back, so we stayed awake all night and took the night buss to the airport.
I am only now recovering a bit. But just wanted to say that I really enjoyed the couple days in London!
So nice it's possible just leave everything behind for a few days.
Dear Josefin and Åsa: thank you so much!! And see you soon in Amsterdam!!
