PS. I went to the David Bowie exposition by Duffy at Amsterdam FOAM museum. I loved it!

AMSTERDAMNED
It's been a while, but the bitch is back! A lot has happened, and I didn't had any time to update my blog. I'm so sorry! While I was gone, I moved to Amsterdam! Yes, finally I'm living in this lovely city! And I'm enjoying it the fullest. There's always something going on, the people dress fabulous and eveything looks beautiful. Normally I didn't like it to bike, but not in Amsterdam; I seriously love it (except when it's raining). But all by all, life is good. Spending a lot of time in my schoolwork; today I finished my first skirt - all by myself. I'm so proud, can't wait to make another one. But after being to busy, it's nice to find some time for your own, and that's what I did today. During the day, I did some stuff for school but really easy going. I feel I need to take a little step back, because I want to do too much in one time. I love these me-days! I know probably not so interesting to read, but I didn't had time to make some new Outfit-of-the-Day pictures, while I have a whole new collection of clothing in my wardrobe. And... for the few people who haven't seen me this week: I've cut my hair... short... in a Victoria Beckham bob! My friend Alisa did an amazing job, I'm so happy with it. It felt like I have to change big time, to leave the 'old' Alyssa behind. So, I did! Never felt better. So next time I update you fashionista's with some new outfit's but this is it for today! Enjoy your evening! xoxo

PETER PILOTO RESORT '13: FULL OF DETAIL
Take a look at this amazing collection of Peter Piloto Resort, the colors and all the small details are just simply stunning. It's a lot, but enough. Especially the color combinations is beautiful. It's inspiring from head to toe. I wish I could create something like this one day.

INTERNSHIP @ THE DARLING, AMSTERDAM
This week I started my internship at the Darling in the nine streets in Amsterdam. It's a little store, whick looks like a little girls bedroom; a lot of pink and all kinds of cute girly stuff. They sell customized clothing, bags, nailpolish and jewelry. Besides that, it's a cafe as well. You can have nice fresh juices, coffee and tea and... (this is the best part) CUPCAKES + MACAROONS. When you walk into the store it's like you're walking into a doll-house, everything is just really cute. Such a nice atmosphere, me likey (big time!). I already customized a shirt, which you can buy now. I'm so excited because I'm learning a lot, and I'm having fun creating new things and look for inspiration. Next week I'm starting at Vogue Academy, I have the feeling this might be a good year after all. Everything falls into place, and I'm happy to be busy with the things I love to do. Take a look at some pictures of the Darling, and if you're in the neighborhood; come and drop by for a little shopping-session or some coffee and a cupcake (I'm working on Tuesdays and Fridays, just to let you know hihi). xoxo Alyssa

CRUELLA DE VILL TROUSERS
As you may know, I love Cruealla de Vill. Black and white is one of the best color combinations if you ask me, it's so chique and it gives you a whole other attitude. I thought it would be nice to make some black and white trousers. But there was one problem, I didn't know how to make because I never used a sewing machine. So, this little miss smartypants bought two pairs of pants (black and white) at the H&M, and took them in pieces. With some help from my mom I made my own black and white trousers. I'm so happy with the result!
I combined my new pants with some happy colors, like yellow and red. Let the sunshine come, becaue I'm ready for the summer!! What do you think? Let me know xoxo

WALTER VAN BEIRENDONCK HAUTE COUTURE DANCE COSTUMES
Walter van Beirendonck (Belgium designer) made beautiful haute couture costumes for the Ballet de l'opera in Paris. I'm amazed, it's sort of like a Lady Gaga concert, but now with ballet dancers. Amazing how dance and fashion meets each other, don't you think?

"I AM THE DESIGNER OF MY OWN CATASTROPHE"
Last monday I had my graduation solo, called "I am the designer of my own catastrophe". I designed and made the costume by myself. Inspired by a corset, but in a more skeleton way. I wanted it to be a sort of frame, as a from of purity. With the idea of the corset, that you are stuck or caught, in your own body or thoughts - like a fight with yourself. I wanted to show the audience the road (or search) to who I am right now. How do I see myself as a dancer and as a person, and put that on stage. It's not that I don't want to see things exactly as they happened, I just prefer them to remember them in an artistic way.
When I was making my costume for this solo, I didn't know if I was able to create this atmosphere I had in mind. But when I finished it, I was so proud with the result. Then I knew it, I want to do this in the future instead of dancing. I got this body from Topshop, and made the 'skeleton-skirt' with baleen. It's all hand made, it felt like I was making haute couture. Here are a few pictures of my solo, with my costume!
I passed everything, and got nice grades for my performance. At the moment I am graduated, and it feels so good. Ready to design all kind of crazy costumes and clothing. Vogue Academy, here I come!
With love, xoxo Alyssa

SHOES FOR MY GRADUATION SOLO
For my solo I wanted to show the people who I really am, and what am I without my precious high heels. I didn't bring all my shoes, because there are too many. I think it were like 65 pairs (heels only, of course!). My friends put it in a shopping cart, and it looked like this.

ISABEL MARANT FOR H&M
YES! Some good news, Isabel Marant is going to design a exclusive line for H&M this fall. I love her 'Paris chique style', which she mixes with an urban attitude, boho elegance and a rock-'n-roll spirit she creates a French allure. For H&M Isabel Marant will design some must have-items, inspired on het own style. It will be released on November 14th, worldwide and online. I cant wait, I think I have to save my money already and buy a sleeping bag, because I really have to have some items of this collection. I adore Isabel Marant!

ACCEPTED AT VOGUE ACADEMY IN AMSTERDAM
Dear fashionista's and fashion-victims,
After a very stressful month I found some time to update my blog, and it's really necessary because I have so much to tell you. Some of you might know it already, but: I got accepted at the Vogue Academy in Amsterdam!! I'm going to design my own things and learning how to make them. It's so unreal, but I'm very excited begin next September. Can't wait to create some artistic costumes with an high fashion taste.
I had a little interview at the Vogue Academy, and therefor I had to draw my favorite shoe - so I chose my Steve Madden shoe with golden chains. After that you had to make your own design of it. I created something with a zebra-print and a lot of feathers. It became a sort of safari-shoe. Really over the top, but so me haha :)
Here are some pictures of some of my drawings and designs. Enjoy! With love, xoxo Alyssa

SAY HELLO TO MY CRUELLA DE VIL PROJECT
I adore Cruella De Vil, she's just so stylish and evil. And I totally dig the whole Black&White theme, she has going on. I'm trying to make a black and white trousers, and I'll call it my "Cruella De Vil' Project. Just to keep me busy these day. And on top of that, I have to draw a shitload for my portfolio. Luckily I have inspiration enough to make this work. So... keep up checking my blog for updates. For now, so long! I have to draw ;-) xoxo Alyssa

BAS KOSTERS | THE REBELLIOUS SHADOW
About a month ago Dutch designer Bas Kosters showed his collection called: 'The Rebellious Shadow' for fall 2013/2014 in London. The collection is based on the idea of priciples are not part of everyday life. They exist only in our 'shadow'. It's mainly about aimlessly protest - which is unknown - and a new look at the color black. As the successor of the penis print chose Kosters now for a SM-design. Kosters made use of his favorite material: satin, jersey, Lycra, corduroy and silk.
I love Bas Kosters, such an amazing designer, and I totally get his idea about it only exist in out shadow. Just brilliant! What a inspiration! Don't you think?

PAMM HOGG, NAKED MODELS ON THE RUNWAY
Designer Pamm Hogg did know how to manage good attention to himself during fashionweek. British designer has sent his models fully naked on the runway. I think the collection is great, but all the naked-ness is distracting. What do you think?
