Leopard print, you rather love it or hate it. I adore this print! For such a long time I was looking for the perfect Leopard coat, but couldn't find it anywhere - not online, not in vintage stores; like it wasn't meant for me. Until the day someone told me you could but it at the Zara. So I immediately grabbed my  creditcard and ordered this baby! So happy when it arrived a couple days later, couldn't wait to wear it. I mean, it does look chique right? With some killerheels, like these ones from River Island (which I got in the Solden in Antwerp). O - MY - GOD! The Solden in Antwerp was crazy, every fashionista dragged their ass to the city to score some nice items for a amazing price! After a couple hours I needed a break, I mean… sometimes the life of a little fashion victim is hard. But after the break, I got my act together again, and I made it to the finish (of my bank account). But, my closet is up-to-date now. First of all, Happy New Year! May your only pains be Champagnes! As you might have guessed, I couldn't fine any time to keep you galls&guys updated with my blog. Shame on me, big time. But, it's a new year and it's one of my resolutions to post more often.

During the holiday I've been thinking about last year, and what has been happened to me the last 365 days - and it's quite a lot actually. In 2013 I've been graduated at the Dance Academy, designed ánd made a costume for my solo, started a new study at Akademie Vogue, got an internship at The Darling and moved to the most beautiful city; Amsterdam. I think I can be a little proud of all the things I've done this year. It wasn't easy for me to make these drastic decisions, but now when I look back at my life I can enjoy it more in a way. I never could have done this without the people who never stopped believe in me - even when I didn't.

In 2013 I've been to beautiful places in the world, like Singapore for example. That was a magical trip for me, that's where I decided to change my life; quit dancing and go for the things that make me happy. That's what matters in life.

2013 was also a year of having wine (no… a lot of wine, maybe too much wine) and tosti's at Anvers. To "reduce" the stress, haha! Somethimes I wish I had the time to re-do that, because it was a blast. Dressing up, and just having talks with the people you love.

Now it's 2014, and I'm curious what this year will bring me. This week there's coming new Outfit of the Day posts, because in those two months where I haven't posted a look, doesn't mean I didn't shop. My poor bank-account and creditcard, but happy be! And that's what counts! With love xoxo A.

DENIM AND OVERSIZED, SIZE IT UP!

As you may know I adore the sun. Especially when it's autumn; the beautiful colors of the leafs on the trees. Everything looks so pretty and pure. I think it's difficult to dress yourself this time a year. Because it's too cold or too warm, but I have found a solution; layers (a lot of layers). Then it's perfect! At the moment I'm loving the oversized trend, my new leopard-print coat from Mango fits so nice, lovely to wrap myself in it when I'm cold. It's sort of boyfiend-chic look. The same for the jeans, they are soooo comfortable! Sometimes I'm asking myself, why do I wear skinny jeans when you can wear these comfy pants. To spice it up, I have to wear my favorite killer heels by Steve Madden. It completes my outfit, and makes it more feminine, don't you think? 

Meanwhile, the weather has changed and it's raining all day. So I decided to stay home, until it's over.. Make some clothing, and do some homework for school. Living the good life :) xoxo

NEW STUDY, NEW JOB, NEW CITY, NEW LOOK

After some hectic weeks, I finally found some time to make a new blogpost for you guys. Yesterday was such a lovely day, the sun was shining and everything was just stunning. I had the day off, so I enjoyed it the fullest. Biking through Amsterdam is one of the nicest things you can do on a day like this. 

As you might know, a lot has changed the last couple of weeks; like for example my look. I actually didn't noticed it before; until I saw the pictures. I got this Chanel-bag shirt from The Darling, a cute little shop at the 9 straatjes in Amsterdam. You likey?

Since I've been living in Amsterdam everything falls into place, I've been creating so much more clothing, and designing other things. In a way I'm just one happy little lady. I just love to be busy with the things I love to do :) enjoy your day Darlings xoxo

AMSTERDAMNED

It's been a while, but the bitch is back! A lot has happened, and I didn't had any time to update my blog. I'm so sorry! While I was gone, I moved to Amsterdam! Yes, finally I'm living in this lovely city! And I'm enjoying it the fullest. There's always something going on, the people dress fabulous and eveything looks beautiful. Normally I didn't like it to bike, but not in Amsterdam; I seriously love it (except when it's raining). But all by all, life is good. Spending a lot of time in my schoolwork; today I finished my first skirt - all by myself. I'm so proud, can't wait to make another one. But after being to busy, it's nice to find some time for your own, and that's what I did today. During the day, I did some stuff for school but really easy going. I feel I need to take a little step back, because I want to do too much in one time. I love these me-days! I know probably not so interesting to read, but I didn't had time to make some new Outfit-of-the-Day pictures, while I have a whole new collection of clothing in my wardrobe. And... for the few people who haven't seen me this week: I've cut my hair... short... in a Victoria Beckham bob! My friend Alisa did an amazing job, I'm so happy with it. It felt like I have to change big time, to leave the 'old' Alyssa behind. So, I did! Never felt better. So next time I update you fashionista's with some new outfit's but this is it for today! ALYSSA'S FASHION WEEK(S)

A week full of fashion, I think I'm falling in love with my new life. My world has been turned upside down, but I'm enjoying it the fullest. It's totally different then what I'm used to be doing. In a way I feel so much more free as a person, and this were just the first couple of weeks! At my internship at the Darling in the 9 streets I'm learning a lot, and I just discovered I'm more creative then I thought I was. I'm so busy I'm not able to update my blog as much as I want to, so I thought maybe it will be fun to tell you something about my week full of fashion; also known as Alyssa's Fashion Week!

Monday morning, time: 7:30h. First day of the week, I promised myself to go at least 3 times a week to the gym for a nice morning-run. Otherwise I'll get fat, and then I have to trow away all my clothing. Karl Lagerfeld was right: Fashion is the healthiest motivation for losing weight! So, I went.. early in the morning.. for a run. And it was amazing! I felt great, I ran 10 miles (16 kilometers)! Yes, I'm going to this at least 3 times a week. After my run, I had a little reunion with my classmates from the dance academy. It was so much fun, talking to each other like we've never been apart. After a lot delicious white wine and a salad it was time for me to go home. This little lady has to work tomorrow, and therefor I need to get up early.

Tuesday morning, time: 6:30h. The moment when the alarm goes of, and I try come out of a coma I can feel I'm a little hangover from the reunion last night. But I don't have time to concern about that, because I have to take a shower, get dressed, put some make-up on my face, get all my stuff together (because I'm sleeping at Sarah's place in Amsterdam) so I have to get my school-stuff as well. AHHH shit! And doing that in the early morning is difficult, but with a petit hangover; it's hell. Tip of the day: prepare this kind of things before you go to bed (or even better; before you decided to go drinking!).

Time: 7.50h. All dressed and packed I'm running to the train with a heavy suitcase, and the basterd is delayed (as usual). I arrive late in Amsterdam, and take an other run from the station to my bike; put my suitcase on the carrier and bike to the 9 streets like I'm training for the Tour de France. My boss decided to go to the World Fashion Centre in Amsterdam, to get some inspiration for the new collection of the store. After our visit, we went back to the Darling. And there was a little package, with new sweaters! I 've put some chains onto this Darling, I fell in love with this sweater! You likey?

Wednesday morning, time: 8:30h. This is lovely, I was able to sleep at Sarah's place in Amsterdam. So I didn't have to set my alarm that early. I decided to have my breakfast at Le Pain Quotidien, a cute little bakery at Spuistraat with delicious coffee. Perfect sunny morning, before going to school. 

Time: 10.15h. First class: pattern drawing and making samples. I love this class, because you're learning how you can make you're clothing. It's pretty difficult, and takes some time to make all the homework - but worth it. The next class is fashion drawing, and I think this is my favorite class. Such a nice atmosphere and it's nice to create some nice new things on paper. My last class is Fashion styling, where we work with new trends, make moodboards and make a blog :) after my long day full of fashion I took the train home.

Thursday morning, time 7.30h. Woke up early for a run, 13 kilometers. Thank god for Justin Timberlake's new album, perfect for during your run! Yes, another tip for you!

After that; a whole day of homework. I made this ballerina with a feather tutu for a assignment for school. That was the whole point of my new study, wasn't it; to create something with fashion and dance. Well, there you go ;-)

Friday morning, time 6.30h. Wakey wakey little miss sunshine, get your lazy ass out of bed and take the train (again) to go to work. It was a quiet day, and my boss decided we deserved a little Friday afternoon drink - I couldn't agree more. So I made some moodboard while I was having my white wine and ciggy, pretty cool job right?

Saturday morning, time 8:00h. Weekend! O wait, gym time. Run, Alyssa, Run! Yes, another 13 kilometers; but this time with Moby's greatest hits! Works good for me. After my run I went to the tanning salon, to get some color on my white and tired face. Then I hushed home, for some breakfast and a shower; to continue with some more homework. I had to make 3 moodboard, a sample of a skirt and draw some fashion bodies. 

Time, 20.15h I'm in the Hague for a cabaret show of Jochem Myjer at the Royal theater. I had so much fun, it was exactly what I needed this weekend. A little break from my homework and have fun!

Sunday morning, time 10:15. Finally, I can have some good sleep. Just what I needed! Today I finished all my homework, and I'm so proud I sewed my skirt! So... this was my fashion week. You likey? I hope I find some time to update you guys more often! xoxo Alyssa

BLOWDRY-BAR, FAUX-BOB, EXTREME VOLUME @ B-ACADEMY

Once again I was asked by my friend Alisa (student at the B-Academy) if I wanted to be a hair model for her. Their school has created a new concept; a "Blowdry-Bar" where you can have your hair blow-dried in different coupe's within 30 minutes. So... they had to practice! Here are some pictures with different hair. As you can see they gave me a lot of volume, and Alisa created a faux-bob as well. I posted this picture on Facebook as a joke, and everybody believed me. But I have to say, I like it a lot. So maybe one of these days I'm going to cut my hair. Take a look, and have a nice day! xoxo

PERFECT SUMMER DAY @ VONDELPARK, AMSTERDAM

Today it was the perfect summer day, so I took a little skate-trip through Amsterdam and ended (as usual) at the Vondelpark for a little break. I enjoyed the weather so much, it was sunny but not too warm. At the moment this is one of my favorite looks, specially because of this amazing blazer I got at a store in the '9 straatjes' called By Fabrio. I just love all these colors, such a happy little jacket and perfect for this kind of weather don't you think? Another one of my favorite items right now is this short/skirt from Zara (I got them in black as well), it's easy to wear because it's though and feminine at the same time and you can combine it in so many ways, I think it's a must-have for in your wardrobe this summer!

INTERNSHIP @ THE DARLING, AMSTERDAM

This week I started my internship at the Darling in the nine streets in Amsterdam. It's a little store, whick looks like a little girls bedroom; a lot of pink and all kinds of cute girly stuff. They sell customized clothing, bags, nailpolish and jewelry. Besides that, it's a cafe as well. You can have nice fresh juices, coffee and tea and... (this is the best part) CUPCAKES + MACAROONS. When you walk into the store it's like you're walking into a doll-house, everything is just really cute. Such a nice atmosphere, me likey (big time!). I already customized a shirt, which you can buy now. I'm so excited because I'm learning a lot, and I'm having fun creating new things and look for inspiration. Next week I'm starting at Vogue Academy, I have the feeling this might be a good year after all. Everything falls into place, and I'm happy to be busy with the things I love to do. THE ALYSSA-ISSUE

It's the first of September, and as you Fashionista's may know; it's September-Issue time. Very important. This month is special for me, so I call it the Alyssa-Issue. This month is a sort of new beginning or something. In a way I feel like a new person. Tuesday I'm going to start an internship at the Darling in the Nine Streets in Amsterdam. It's feels a bit like I'm starting a whole new life, with all new special things... and: I'm so excited to begin this 'new life'. Can't wait to create new things and learn the ins and outs about designing clothing and fashion. Next week is my first day at the Vogue Academy, so it gets better and better! It feels like my life is beginning to turn upside down, but in a good way. And, don't you agree, with a new beginning; there must be a new look. So this is my outfit-of-the-day, Alyssa 2.2 (also known as: the Alyssa-Issue). On top of that, I made an appointment to change my hair as well. So I can start fresh, all bright and shiny! FLYING FRIENDLY TO LANZAROTE

From sunny Lanzarote, a brand new blogpost! This was the outfit I was wearing during the flight from Amsterdam to Lanzarote; a vintage hat from Episode (a vintage store in Amsterdam) with a dress I ordered a couple years ago at Asos.com with a gilet from the New Yorker. Completed by a pair of trousers from the Zara and shoes from the Primark. I fell in love with Lanzarote, the weather is perfect. It's sunny with a lot of wind, so it's not too warm. But I get a tan anyway! The only thing I don't like it's that there too many tourists, who are just the wrong clotting, as usual ;-) well, while I'm enjoying my holiday, I wish you the same: sunny weather! MULTI-COLORED BLAZER 'BY FABRIO'

When I walked through the '9 straatjes' in Amsterdam I ran into this cute little store called 'By Fabrio', they sell really nice clothing for nothing more than €29,95. Perfect, don't you agree? When I took a look at their collection I found this amazing multi-colored blazer, and I instantly fell in love with it. I had to buy it, otherwise I would never forgive myself ;-) so.. I got it, and I'm so happy with it. It's the perfect little jacket for the summer, because of all these nice colors you get immediately happy! I combined it with my 'the New Icons' shirt for H&M and these fringe shorts (also H&M). Together with my Jimmy Choo's it's the perfect outfit, don't you think? At the moment it's one of my favorite outfits of the day. Meanwhile I'm enjoying Amsterdam the fullest, still looking for a place to live here in the city but I can't wait to start with my new education at the Vogue Academy and make beautiful creative things! We were talking about how much we enjoyed the holiday, finally it's summer in the Netherlands and it's lovely. TUTU-CHIC

After a couple amazing days at Terschelling I returned today in Amsterdam. I was so excited about everything, I wanted to wear my 'customized' tutu. A couple years ago I bought a white see-through petticoat in a Vintage store, and made a sort of tutu skirt out of it. Just like Carrie in Sex and the City. I already posted it a while ago, you can check this outfit here. But this time I combined my favorite Tutu-skirt with an denim blouse and a black-and-white striped shirt. To complete this look I'm wearing the Jimmy Choo's heels from H&M. What do you think? You limey? xoxo
