First of all, Happy New Year! May your only pains be Champagnes! As you might have guessed, I couldn't fine any time to keep you galls&guys updated with my blog. Shame on me, big time. But, it's a new year and it's one of my resolutions to post more often.

During the holiday I've been thinking about last year, and what has been happened to me the last 365 days - and it's quite a lot actually. In 2013 I've been graduated at the Dance Academy, designed ánd made a costume for my solo, started a new study at Akademie Vogue, got an internship at The Darling and moved to the most beautiful city; Amsterdam. I think I can be a little proud of all the things I've done this year. It wasn't easy for me to make these drastic decisions, but now when I look back at my life I can enjoy it more in a way. I never could have done this without the people who never stopped believe in me - even when I didn't.

In 2013 I've been to beautiful places in the world, like Singapore for example. That was a magical trip for me, that's where I decided to change my life; quit dancing and go for the things that make me happy. That's what matters in life.

2013 was also a year of having wine (no… a lot of wine, maybe too much wine) and tosti's at Anvers. To "reduce" the stress, haha! Somethimes I wish I had the time to re-do that, because it was a blast. Dressing up, and just having talks with the people you love.

Now it's 2014, and I'm curious what this year will bring me. This week there's coming new Outfit of the Day posts, because in those two months where I haven't posted a look, doesn't mean I didn't shop. My poor bank-account and creditcard, but happy be! And that's what counts! With love xoxo A.

AMSTERDAMNED

It's been a while, but the bitch is back! A lot has happened, and I didn't had any time to update my blog. I'm so sorry! While I was gone, I moved to Amsterdam! Yes, finally I'm living in this lovely city! And I'm enjoying it the fullest. There's always something going on, the people dress fabulous and eveything looks beautiful. Normally I didn't like it to bike, but not in Amsterdam; I seriously love it (except when it's raining). But all by all, life is good. Spending a lot of time in my schoolwork; today I finished my first skirt - all by myself. I'm so proud, can't wait to make another one. But after being to busy, it's nice to find some time for your own, and that's what I did today. During the day, I did some stuff for school but really easy going. I feel I need to take a little step back, because I want to do too much in one time. I love these me-days! I know probably not so interesting to read, but I didn't had time to make some new Outfit-of-the-Day pictures, while I have a whole new collection of clothing in my wardrobe. And... for the few people who haven't seen me this week: I've cut my hair... short... in a Victoria Beckham bob! My friend Alisa did an amazing job, I'm so happy with it. It felt like I have to change big time, to leave the 'old' Alyssa behind. So, I did! Never felt better. So next time I update you fashionista's with some new outfit's but this is it for today! PERFECT SUMMER DAY @ VONDELPARK, AMSTERDAM

Today it was the perfect summer day, so I took a little skate-trip through Amsterdam and ended (as usual) at the Vondelpark for a little break. I enjoyed the weather so much, it was sunny but not too warm. At the moment this is one of my favorite looks, specially because of this amazing blazer I got at a store in the '9 straatjes' called By Fabrio. I just love all these colors, such a happy little jacket and perfect for this kind of weather don't you think? Another one of my favorite items right now is this short/skirt from Zara (I got them in black as well), it's easy to wear because it's though and feminine at the same time and you can combine it in so many ways, I think it's a must-have for in your wardrobe this summer!

DIRTY HEELS

If you ask me, the colors black and white combined with red are just magical. It looks amazing on each other,  don't you think? So simple, but it works in a way. The red trousers gives this whole look an edge. I'm wearing my favorite Steve Madden nude heels, with a black accent. These shoes walk like heaven, I mean seriously: HEAVEN. Nobody believes me, but it's true and that's why I love them. I can walk miles in them without having pain in my feet. Just as what I did today, I walked across Amsterdam, just doing my thing and enjoying the weather. As you can see, this is a real casual look for me. Normally I'm wearing more extravagant outfits, but sometimes it's good to go basic, don't you think?

LIFE'S A BEACH

After an amazing weekend with a lot of great party's I went to the beach to work on my tan. After Milkshake after-party I went to bed around 5.30h and woke up around 9, and surprisingly I had so much energy. So I took the train from Amsterdam to Den Haag. When I arrived at the beach it was also calm and quite, it was so lovely to relax and enjoy the sun. I'm wearing an easy going outfit, just a white t-shirt with a denim gilet, combined with fringe shorts. To complete this look, I wore my new beach hat I got as a present from Stella ♡ I totally love it!

G R A D U A T I O N - O U T F I T

On the 6th of July I finally got my diploma at the Dance academy, from now on I'm a "professional" dancer. For this occasion I really wanted to dress up, because it a special moment in your life. I went shopping with my Mom in Amsterdam, but couldn't find any dress. Searched over the internet, but I wasn't very satisfied. So a week before the graduation ceremony I ordered this dress at Asos.com. First I wasn't that happy with it, but it's something. But when I wore it, I fell in love with this dress. I mean red is a dangerous color, but it makes your look sexy in a way. I combined it with my leopard print shoes, which I bought in Singapore with a little had to finish my outfit. That day felt a bit like a red carpet event, most of the girls looked so pretty with their hair done, some make-up and of course killer heels! I brought my Anna Dello Russo crocodile glasses as well, which my friend Carlijn is wearing on the picture below! I really enjoyed this day, with a lot of booze :) hihi take a look at some pictures!

Gaga by Gaultier is a very touching documentry about Lady Gaga's life, about how it all began and her vision about fashion. Interview by Jean-Paul Gaultier at House of Gaultier. During the documentary you see all these beautiful haute couture and amazing designs. Lady Gaga has such a great artistic team around her, so inspirational. I HEART AMSTERDAM

Today I spent my day in Amsterdam, just walking around the city and enjoying life. It's so nice to be there, can't wait to live there next month! It was a lovely day, with a lot of sunshine. I had some wine on the terrace at de canal 'de Amstel' and it really felt like a holiday, such a nice atmosphere! During the day I watched a lot of people pass by, and I was so amazed because they all look fashionable. I walked across Amsterdam and I really fell in love with this city! I heart Amsterdam, big time. Here are some pictures of my today's look, really casual but edgy as well - with my new bag from Singapore which I bought at this amazing store Charles & Keith.

SUNNIES ALDO

ACCEPTED AT VOGUE ACADEMY IN AMSTERDAM

Dear fashionista's and fashion-victims,

After a very stressful month I found some time to update my blog, and it's really necessary because I have so much to tell you. Some of you might know it already, but: I got accepted at the Vogue Academy in Amsterdam!! I'm going to design my own things and learning how to make them. It's so unreal, but I'm very excited begin next September. Can't wait to create some artistic costumes with an high fashion taste.
I had a little interview at the Vogue Academy, and therefor I had to draw my favorite shoe - so I chose my Steve Madden shoe with golden chains. After that you had to make your own design of it. I created something with a zebra-print and a lot of feathers. It became a sort of safari-shoe. Really over the top, but so me haha :)

FLYING'FRIENDLY AND FASHIONABLE OUTFIT

After 13 hours of flying I finally arrived at Schiphol airport in Amsterdam. I already miss Singapore, it's so cold here. I'm not having a jetlag (yet), but 13 hours in a airplane is long, I hope I will find my normal rythm back soon.
On my way back to the Netherlands I was wearing my Stella McCartney for Adidas yoga pants, with my lovely Isabel Marant wedge sneakers. Combined with a simpel black and white striped shirt and a hoodie. As you can see I had so much bagage, too much. That's what happens when you are a shopaholic in shop-paradise in Singapore. My suitcase weighted over 22 kilo's, thats why I had an extra backpack. I didn't had space enough in my handlugage, so I attached my Jimmy Choo's on my backpack - like a real fashionista/backpacker haha sometimes I'm such a smartiepants. THROWBACK THURSDAY: CHINA TOWN

Hello my followers all over the world,
Today I'm writing my blog on Changi Airport, this was my last day here in Singapore for now. I really enjoyed being in the big city with fashionable people, delicious food, a lot of Asian people and the many good clothing stores. Now all my money is gone, I have to go back to my normal life again. It's time for graduating, so it will be a very stressfull time for me. I'm blessed I had an amazing holiday and got a lot of new energy to create some really nice things.
This blog is called "Throwback Thursday" because I went to China Town this week here in Singapore last week. And I loved it so much I had to blog about it. So many little markets and shops with all these nice souvenirs and cheap stuff. I got a lot of bracelets for my friends back home in Holland. It smelled there like fruits, and other Chinese food. Although it was very crowdes, it had an nice atmosphere. That day I was wearing my H&m fringe blue shorts, with 'the New Icons' shirt I got a while ago also at H&M combined with an old denim gilet which I found somewhere back in my closet. Ofcourse with one of my favorite shoes, the nude with black accent Steve Madden shoes!
While I'm blogging here at Changi Airport, thinking about my fabulous and fashionable vacation I don't want to go back to the Netherlands. But, I have to.. But I got all these sweet memories! For now I'm gonna take one big sleeping-pill and take a long nap in the airplane. Sleepwell, xoxo Alyssa.

MY DAY TODAY IN SINGAPORE

Today it's one of my last days here in Singapore, so what does this mean? It's time for some serious shopping! I went to the biggest shoppingmall called Suntec, and later I went to Somerset and ofcourse Orchard Road. Oops, I spend all my money (again) on clothing, bags, earrings and shoes. Luckily my dad was really nice to me, he got me a really nice bag - I'll show you that later on my blog.
At the Subway station at Somerset is such a cute Italian lunchroom called Trattoria, where I got a delicious salad with an iced latte. After lunch we walked to Orchard road and spend some time in other shoppingmalls. Take a look at the pictures, and enjoy your sunny day xoxo with love, Alyssa

SINGAPORE NIGHTLIFE LOOK

I fell in love with Singapore, it's always summer! You can wear your summer-outfit every day of the year, what do you need more? The sun is always shining, and that's making me happy as a kid in a candyshop. Even at night the temperature is perfect, that's why I'm wearing this très chique dress, which I bought about 6 or 7 years ago at Zara. One of my first items I bought at Zara, and since then I'm addicted to this store! Love their vision and designs of the clothing they sell, absolutly fashionable and affordable. A couple days ago I passed by this shoe-shop in Singapore and I saw this quote on the wall, I think it's made for me. Funny cause it's true! I love shoes, and yes they make me happy. I don't care what other people think about it.
I'm here in Singapore for a week now, and I fell in love with this country. So much energy, and still a nice atmosphere. The people here have a good taste in fashion, and my gosh the shopping area is AMAZING!! I really wish sometimes I had all the money in the world, so I could spend it here!. I'm staying here only until Thursday, so I will enjoy it the fullest. One thing for sure, the sun is the only thing that keeps me happy! Hope you have a nice holiday as well xoxo Alyssa

Dear followers,
I'm so sorry I haven't updated my blog in a while, I was way too busy with some projects at school and trying to prepare myself for my graduating next June (wish me luck). And now... SAY HELLO TO MY CRUELLA DE VIL PROJECT

I adore Cruella De Vil, she's just so stylish and evil. And I totally dig the whole Black&White theme, she has going on. I'm trying to make a black and white trousers, and I'll call it my "Cruella De Vil' Project. Just to keep me busy these day. And on top of that, I have to draw a shitload for my portfolio. LAZY MONDAY

Whenever I don't feel very well I have to watch "Breakfast at Tiffany's" starring Audrey Hepburn. I just love that movie, and she's such a style icon! Today, is one of those days. I couldn't do anything, except lay in bed with a cup of tea and a bunch of old movies. I did some research about Mrs. Hepburn, and gosh she had such an intresting life. She used to live in the Netherlands, trained to be a ballerina and was one of the most beautiful women on earth. Another movie I have to watch on these lazy mondays is "Sophie's Choice" with Meryl Streep, as you may know I'm a huge fan of her. She's the greatest actress on earth. Don't you think? xoxo Alyssa

A PART OF MY SHOE-COLLECTION!

and the worst part is, this isn't even everything. I know, I know... I'm a shoe-a-holic! You can call me superficial, but I don't care. My motto is: More Shoes Make More Sense. I don't know what it is, but they make my happy. Everytime I felt sad or something, I went to the city to buy shoes (or to get my ears pierced). And this is the result, I think I can start a museum or something. But what I told you before, I feel so much better when I'm wearing these babies, I feel tall, feminine and sexy. And it's not all designer shoes, they're from H&M, Zara, River Island, Primark, New Look, Alysa Mode, Aldo Shoes, Steve Madden, Maison Martin Margiela for H&M, Isabel Marant, Christian Louboutin and Jimmy Choo for H&M.

LASTWEEK SUMMER, TODAY WINTER

I made these pictures a week ago, it was a sunny day and it was about 18 degrees. And today it's -2 and there's snow! What is happening to the world? I really miss the sun, it makes me happy and you can wear your summer-outfits again.
On these pictures below I'm wearing my new hat I got from the Monki. It's a bit over the top, but I like it that way. Combined with my mint green shorts by Dutch designer Darryl van Wouw. Such a nice item, but sometimes difficult to match with other clothing, because there's a lot of color and there's so much happening. Another item I re-invented in my closet were my Jimmy Choo's shoes from H&M a couple years ago. They're really cute, and sexy in a way.

I hope the sun will return to the Netherlands soon, because it's really sucks right now. I feel like laying in bed all day with a cup of tea and have a wintersleep or something. ALISA VAN VAALEN, BEST HAIRSTYLIST/BEST FRIEND

Alisa is one of my best friends, we met eachother at the dance academy a couple years ago and are inseparable ever since. Alisa and Alyssa, also known as Ali and Aly & girls with the A. What a duo!

Alisa decided study at the B-academy in Amsterdam to become a hair-stylist. And believe me, she rocks. I know it was a hard decission to make for her, but it was totally worth it. Such an inspiration, and I'm really proud of her. ♡
While she was still dancing at the academy, she worked in a hairsalon and sometimes she dyed my hair a shade darker or lighter. At one point we were both at a stage where we wanted to experiment with our hair, so I decided to take 'Pink Dipped Ends'. Totally fashionable last summer. But, I wasn't her only customer, half the school had joined Alisa's hairsaloon. After a while I got sort of bored with my pink hair, and I went over to ombre hair (which I still have, and still very happy with).

Even though Alisa is no longer at my school, yet I keep coming back to her to get my hair done, and I'm not the only one. She works at Salon B, Amsterdam (which her ​​education is a part of). Before the summerholidays she took me to her work as a model, and I got a Color Shine treatment. Great stuff, your hair gets a boost, it's very shiny and feels like silk. I'm addicted to this treatment, I totally love love love it. You can check it out on the pictures.
